I am just wondering, how does it benefit anyone if you try and take down this "corrupted lifeform" by closing some discussion board? When one is closed, another will raise from the ashes. If not immediately, people will always find ways to search for likeminded people and already have contacts on Skype and can share them. While I understand that some of the content may look weird or new or unacceptable for some people, what harm is done in the end? I have always thought that people are free to do whatever they want, as long as they don't hurt anyone or force their interests for those who are not interested. Even I don't like all the material here, but I still accept their likes, because I don't really have to watch the content. I can always say that I am uncomfortable with things Y and X, and hopefully after that we can discuss about something else. I think almost everyone understands this and accepts that not everyone like exactly the same things. I was writing my response based on the hint you gave, so there might be a change I did not fully understand it, but I read it like that you took the site down because of all the questionable material. Well, at least it looked like that reading the Y-lauta thread. If this is not the case, I'd be more than happy to hear your view in this matter and have some further discussion. - Rpger <-- This is for you, you'll feel much better after drinking some grapefruit juice :) I filled it just for you. You are pretty much right on every point you made, but the colossal level of autism in RLPV was the biggest reason of all for what happened. You drink up your grape juice, just don't post it in here.

I'll keep this short. >"some Finns needed some lulz." (from your previous post) Well, i'm too tired to explain anything right now so take a hint: It wasn't for fun. Well drink some coffee and explain then, please. What do you want? Read rpger's post.

So you take a site down and also make a torrent archive of it... for the purpose of removing this "questionable material" that you do not like. But that same material will exist with or without your intervention. So I still fail to see the true point. Either it's just fun or you're someone else's pawn.

And you're free to your own opinion, of course. But it exists with or without you or any of your friends' involvement. Most would simply ignore it and move on, avoiding it easily. But you and others have chosen to fight it... for what purpose? It won't go away, no matter how much some people try. Look at all the people who say adults like us shouldn't like MLP. Have they stopped us? Look at yourself. Have you really stopped it, or simply caused others an inconvenience? And for that matter any minority. You might fight it, but you can't rid the entire internet of any one particular thing. I _still_ don't see the point. I wish we could all just get along, no point to fighting in this stupid battle when no one will possibly win.

Well, in my case if I see something "sick" in the Internet (that is legal), I just move to another site and continue with my life. It's not like I have to type the address on the address bar ever again. I don't know what others think though, because nothing "sicken" me much except for maybe if people are hurting each other, like raping, some "illegal" content, some zoofilia where you hurt the animal, torturing people etc. They are some sick stuff, because they are hurting each other.
How do we set the line on what stuff is sick and what isn't? Some old people think being gay is sick and maybe watching porn is sick too, while young people mostly think it is ok. People have different views in life and can find something sick, while others see it as normal. If we go by the most strict rules, we would all be from the same mould doing all the same boring things.. I don't want a world where we can't be ourselves and like the things we like. World is a much interesting place when there is different kind of people.
Shutting down sites where people such as these "pony spermers" gather could also have negative effect on society. When they can't find any place to share their interests and get the feeling of being with people who understands them, they might get depressed and isolated, later not bringing any tax money. Then they would start the medicines and who knows, maybe with some money problems do some crimes and overall become a less useful person for anyone. I'm not meaning this like everyone should live their lifes for someone else, though.
Sorry for such a long and boring post, but hopefully I was able to share my view on how I see things. You are entitled to have your opinions too, and there is propably very little I can do to change anyone's mind. I hope that one can still find something that they agree with from the post.

I will, if I see the possibility of success. But if I know what I aim to accomplish is impossible, why waste the energy trying? Once it's on the internet, it's never really going to leave. Our community might be destroyed, or whatever, but the people who were a part of it will still be out there, scattered, in their own communities, doing the same thing. If it's not fun for you to fuck with us, then what is the actual point? You just waste your own time, and ours. No one benefits. It's easier for us all and yourselves to simply walk our own ways and keep enjoying the things we each like, be they different or the same, it matters not.

A person who wishes to fly should not flap his arms about, but should learn how to build a plane. Similarly, you have no clue what you are doing, and your vain attempts to remove something from the entirety of the internet will end in failure. This is fact. Look at all the illegal shit that stays online. Piracy, CP, any other things. And are they going away? Nope. So don't think legal things will disappear because some are a little butthurt that they exist. >At the original RLPV i spent about 1-hour skulking around, and now i just check these forums a couple times a day. So i've probably spent under 2-hours at all of this, and it ain't much. It's still time you could have better spent working on an actual problem. A much better person would move on from something they don't like and work to something better. Exercise, getting a job, getting some education. You want to fight true evils? Become a doctor and learn a cure to AIDS, Cancer, or even Autism (the actual kind, not the insult you Finns throw around so much.). Or learn how to make an EMP to remove the internet entirely, cause that's the only way you'd win at this petty war. Oh and by the way, could you kindly inform the tulpamancers over at ylilauta that the "Pony Lovers" they hate so much from RLPV are not in fact using Tulpae in any way? They don't claim to do so and certainly haven't gone through hundreds of hours of meditation. They are more akin to Objectophiles than that (google it, you might learn something), as Tulpae do not have physical form and cannot be impressed upon one. They have fallen in love with a piece of their own imagination, free from any super conscious efforts. My ISP seems to be blocked from posting on that site or I'd let them know myself
